High school can be a complicated time. This is the time when you do the most experimenting with your hair including hair colors and cuts but it’s also a time where you learn to style your hair and determine what works for you and what doesn’t. When you wake up in the morning and you’re rushed because the bus comes in a few minutes and your hair isn’t brushed, you haven’t picked out your outfit and you’re worried about your exam second period, it can be hard to choose a hairstyle. Here are some easy hairstyles that will help you get ready quick and look great for you school day.
Ponytail with ‘Hair Wrapped Elastic’
Ponytails are easy and every schoolers go-to hairstyle on a hectic morning. Ponytails are also great if the weather is hot; you have second (or third day) hair or you simply just love ponytails. By wrapping hair around the elastic you can take an average ponytail and make it look a lot neater and more special. Keep the ponytail loose with your bangs left our or sleek and straight. You might need a bobby pin or two but you can secure the hair with the elastic too to make it even easier.
Loose Side Braid
It doesn’t get easier than sweeping your hair to the side and put it in a loose braid. It’s okay if it falls out because it only takes 1-minute to redo while sitting at your desk or in the bathroom. You can even create a fishtail braid if you’ve perfected that look for a spiced up braid that is just as quick to create.
A simple way to style your hair for school is to simply add a headband that matches your outfit. There are so many headbands out there in different sizes, styles and materials so stock up when you have an extra dollar or two so that you have them in your time of no-time-before-school. If your hair is naturally wavy or curly then just throw the bun in and let your natural hair go free, if it is straight or fine use the headband to create volume or put your hair in a side ponytail and style with the headband. Don’t forget to the try boho-chic look!
A tight and neat bun is one of the easiest hairstyles to do. You can even do it with wet hair so if you just had enough time to shower then this is a great idea and as an added bonus your hair will have plenty of natural waves once you release the bun for tomorrows hair. The ballerina bun can be worn up high or down low, just keep it clean and tight. Add a bow to accessorize the bun.
You don’t need a lot of time to add loose waves to your hair before school. If you have 5 minutes then grab your curling iron and curl the bottom of your hair – its okay if the curls aren’t perfect or if you miss a few pieces because you’re just trying to add texture. Another option is to spray on some sea-salt spray or mousse and scrunch your hair and run out.
