As the winter slumber carries on, most of us in seasonal temps are counting down the days until spring. As spring rolls in and winter rolls on, there is a feeling of liveliness, regrowth and vitality that takes over. While Mother Nature is transitioning back to her green and vibrant glory, hair trends also go through transition. So what’s on the trend alert for Spring 2015?
Dust off your crimpers’ ladies because crimping is cool again. On the runway for shows like Stella McCartney you could spot crimped hair. However, this look wasn’t an all-over crimp fest. Simply crimp the top layers of your hair to add extra texture to your tresses.
Low Maintenance and Low Placed Ponytails
Just a few years ago topknots were everywhere. We’re not suggesting that a great topknot isn’t trendy but this year more people are opting for the easier low ponytail and just like a topknot, it doesn’t have to be perfect. Textured and tousled with volume around the crown is a sexy and stylish option. But if you’re heading out on the town, don’t hesitate to slick back that ponytail in a straight and sleek low ponytail.
Long Wispy Side-Swept Bangs
Bangs are always a great option because they look great with the ever-trendy bob, short pixies or long tresses. Some years long side-swept bangs are trendy and some year’s people choose to have straight blunt bangs. 2015 is the year of in-between. Long bangs that are slightly side-swept but still have that blunt bang effect are in for 2015. A great benefit of these bangs is you can pin them back when you don’t feel like dealing with them.
Natural Bed Head Style
The bedhead look isn’t going anywhere. (Lucky for the over sleepers!) Tousled sexiness is easy to achieve with this easy-going look. You can wake up late, touch up your locks and run out the door. The bedhead look comes from the natural looking trend. The undone look is all about achieving a more natural hairstyle, just like the hair color trends such as balayage and ecaille.
Full On Curls
There is a movement happening in the hair world – embracing natural hair texture, especially those crazy, big and beautiful curly locks. Keep the straighteners and serums away from those curly locks and let them curl on. We love the Afro’s and curly manes we saw on the runway and we hope to see them everywhere!
